Thread-topic: [nv-l] NetView 7.1.4 FixPack 4 on Winders
Hi Mark,

Your problem might be related to RDP (remote desktop protocol). My experience
with using this before w/ W2k was very unpredictable and I recall finding
threads where it wasn't supported. If you happen to be running on W2k3 or XP -
you can connect using "SERVER_NAME /console" (inside the RDP connect dialog)
and connect with a simulated console session (this has gotten us around MANY
issues w/ RDP at my office. If not, I'd highly recommend avoiding using RDP
for anything pertaining to installations and updates relative to Netview.

HTH,
Glen

Try it from the command window, ovstart ovwdb and see what response
you get back.
And check the nv.log for clues

I tried installing FP04 on my NetView server and it seemed to complete
successfully, However, I am unable to start ovwdb
Any one experience this? Any ideas?
