You are on your own here. I'd guess that no one knows.
NetView Version 6 hasn't been in support for over 5 years and AIX 5.2 was
not out then, so the configuration you describe has never been tested, and
probably never even been tried by anyone. I don't think it will install on
AIX 5.2, so my guess is that you'd have to invent your own procedure to
"dump it down", whatever that means.
In my opinion your customer should stay where they are, upgrade another new
box to AIX 5.2, create and move their backup directory there, and then do
a migration install of install 7.1.4; or else simply build a new system
side-by-side with their old one. So much has changed that would be just
as easy in my opinion.

Hello Iist,
Has anybody tried running NetView V6.X on AIX V5.2 (64 bit) ?
One of our customers wants to dump NetView V 6.X backup from their existing
AIX 4.3.3 server onto their new AIX 5.2 server.
Would this work until such time that the customer upgrades it to NetView V
7.1.4 in the near future ?
Thanks and best regards
