Thread-topic: NV7.1.4FP04+Switch Analyzer 1.3

Hello All!

I want some comments about strange behavior of subj.

We have Netview 7.1.4 installed on Windows 2003 server and Netview 7.1.4 FP04 on top of it.

We use Switch Analyzer 1.3 together with Netview.

Installation of Switch Analyzer was fine; it finds all of our switches and produce Layer2Status symbol in devices submaps.

We haven’t Layer2Status symbols in our Routers submaps, because they are routers.

But, if netview discovers new router in our network we can see Layer2Status symbol for it (ONLY FOR NEWLY DISCOVERED OR DELETED AND RE-DISCOVERED!).

Can someone comment that strange situation???

As I know layer 2 status must be only on switches submaps.

May be I don’t know about something?

Thanks.

Dmitri Baturin
