Technically AIX 5.1 and lower are not supported for NetView 7.1.5, so the official answer is "yes".

PS: If I were you I would not upgrade what you have but build a new box, if at all possible, so that you can run your current setup as a backup until you get all your migration issues settled and you are happy with what you have in 7.1.5.

We have NetView 7.1.4 on AIX 5.1. Do we have to upgrade the AIX version first?
