I use the following query on sqlserver database to produce an outage report.

It could be modified to produce availability also.

Note that the ipaddress is in Netview format.

 

SELECT timeStart,
datepart(minute,(timeStop - timeStart))
FROM  NVuptimeTransition
WHERE ipAddress = '2047885322' AND
upOrDown = '-1'
and timeStart between
(convert(float,%Date1%)) and
(convert(float,%Date2%))
order by (convert(float,timeStart))  desc;

you can look at the Down and UP events in trapd.log and use the date of the events to calculate the down time.
