Sender: nv-l-bounces@lists.ca.ibm.com

No, that is not customizable.

If you just type in an nvmail command from a command window, the the sender will be whatever id you are logged in as. But when you send an nvmail from a NetView process, such as from trapd, it says "NetView" because all the daemons are children of the NetView Service. No spoofing allowed. I suppose you could try changing the name of the NetView Service but that has never been tested and wouldn't be supported anyway.

Sorry but that's the way it is.

[NV-L] nvmail question

Running Netview 7.1.4 on Windows 2003...

When I generate emails using nvmail, can I change the "sender" field? Typically, the "sender" filed is populated with NetView@domain.com. I would like to change it.
