on my Solaris system snmpdx is the Master agent and he's the only one running. I am not at all certain what snmpd is for, since I don't seem to have one.
Netview on Solaris 9 7.1.5 FP1 Had problem where "netmon" failed to start after my unix box was reloaded. Saw both processes "snmpd" and "snmpdx" were running so I killed "snmpd" and I could now start netmon again. Do I need both running? I vaugly remember this problem before with older version of Solaris, but could not find any recent doc on issue. Thanks for any help.
