I have been running NV with the SNMPv1 MIB COLLECTOR. I need to switch to the V2 COLLECTOR.

I found the script to switch, but it needs the DB2 installed.

OK now I am stuck. There is no clear doc on what steps to take to install DB2.

I found some doc that states to run db2setup (java gui) and that needs different levels of userIDs created.

Does anybody know the correct procedure ?

Since we are running NIS it wants the user ID to be valid.

Should I create user IDs that are "LOCAL" on the NETVIEW box? How do I tell it not to use NIS?

I have contacted Netview support and they have passed me to the DB2 group. Now awaiting call.

Thanks for any help.
