If I read the mib correctly, 1 is active and 2 is destroy. So if you set up snmpCollect (Tools..Data Collection & Thresholding) to monitor that mib variable with a threshold of >1 and a rearm value of 1, then you will get an event when a tunnel goes down and another one when it comes up. Those would be the standard threshold and rearm events, You could also create custom events, copies of the standard thresh/rearm events, and have the threshold monitoring trigger those instead of the regular one. Then you can use special verbage on that one. To create the custom event, use xnmtrap (Options..Events), and in the netview enterprise, specific trap ids 1000-1999 are reserved for your use. You can copy the threshold and rearm events, since your custom event will have the same variable layout. Cordially, Leslie A. Hi list, I have netview 7.1.5 running in a Linux RHES 4 UP 5, I have to monitor a status of a VPN connection, now I can make a query to see the status through CISCO-IPSEC-FLOW-MONITOR-MIB i use 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.171.1.3.2.1.51 and it returns 1 when is working, and I can see and make graphs.- The problem that I dont know hot to solve is that I need to monitor every x min & how can I generate an error if the tunnel goes down.- ¿How can I make that in NV?
