 You are probably going to have to open a problem to Support.  A core dump
signal 11 indicates snmpCollect tried to access storage (memory) that was
not his.

If you are getting this immediately upon startup then it is possible that
you have a corrupted snmpCol.conf file and that you can fix the problem by
altering your configuration.   You said you added a new collection for a
VPN.  Did you do this through the xnmcollect GUI or by manually editing the
file? Usually it is only manual editing that causes problems.

I would make a copy of snmpCol.conf, then edit it to remove the last
changes you made.  Then see whether snmpCollect will start and stay
running.  If it does, then use the GUI to rebuild the collection you wanted
in the first place.  And if you are using smartsets, use
      nvUtil l <smartset_name>
to verify that they are not empty.

If none of this helps, then you'll have to call Support.

Hi list,  I have the following error when I want to start the snmpCollect,

object manager name: snmpCollect
 behavior:            OVs_WELL_BEHAVED
 state:               NOT_RUNNING
 PID:                 6435
 last message:        Initialization complete.
 exit status:         exited on signal 11, core dumped

I have created in Data Collection & Thresholds a collect to monitor the
status of VPN , it stay collecting but it sohw a poput that said

Data Collector is not running. Run ovstart snmpCollect,

I start the snmpCollect and have this error again, I have running Netview
7.1.5. FP2 in a RHES 4.0 FP4 (Intel)
