You might get it to install by using the -R option to prevent pre-req checking but it has never been tested and is not officially supported.
The supported versions of Linux on Intel or Intel-like platforms are these:

• Red Flag 5
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0, 32 or 64-bit kernel
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, 32 or 64-bit kernel

Can Tivoli Netview 7.1.5 run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 5.0 and is it supported too ??
