Watch the nettl log (netfmt -F -f /usr/OV/log/nettl.LOG00) when you try to
start ahmtopod
(/usr/CML/bin/cmlstart ahmtopod). That should give you some clues. If you are
on AIX 4.2,
you need the ipcservices fix. In any case, you should get the latest
maintenance on the
Nways product, so I would call Support.

Subject: Nways ATM Manager w/NetView Question
Hi All,
I've got a box running Nways ATM Manager 1.1 on top of NetView 4. For some
reason
the ahmtopod process (which manages the ATM topology, I presume) starts,
but then dies. I've looked in the various Nways directories and in
/usr/OV/log, but I can't locate the spot where I can figure out why this
daemon keeps dying on me. Any pointers in the right direction would be
appreciated!
