Installation / de-installation is not my area of expertise, so unless this
helps, or you get some other responses, you would have to call Support to
get more help.
If you got far enough in the installation to have installed the Tivoli
Framework and NetView patch, then you might be able to de-install NetView
that way. You bring up the Tivoli desktop ( run " .
/etc/Tivoli/setup_env.sh" and then just "tivoli").
Then click on the policy region (the domed building). This brings up a
panel with icons for machines in the Tivoli Manage Region (TMR), one of
which would be the NetView machine. Right click on this icon and you
should get a pull-down menu, one item of which is Maintain. Under that is
an item to de-install NetView.
If you didn't get this far, I'd start over completely or call Support.

Subject: Uninstalling TME10 NetView
I was installing TME10 NetView v5 for AIX and received errors for not
having the correct AIX 'locale' files. I have now installed them but have
been warned (by others) that I need to 'completely remove' NetView and
reinstall for it to complete and be stable. Unfortunately I have not found
any uninstall instructions and my Tivoli instructor says I have to restore
AIX from tape (I assume that I need to restore to pre-NetView Tivoli; no
sweat). Surely this is not so!?!?
Does anyone have a method for cleanly restarting the installation?
