Calvin,

I'm assuming the NetView is an OS/390 NetView - to view alerts (events in
SNMPese) go to the NPDA Alerts Dynamic Screen via 'NPDA ALD' on your NetView
command line. You'll get a 'scrolling' (if there's enough action) list of
alerts (events) - HIT 'ENTER' to stop the scrolling and get a selection #.
Follow the directions at the bottom of the screen.

I haven't done much customization via writing user procs but I believe what
you're asking for is definitely possible.

Hello,

I'm wondering where to go in NetView to view events such as link outages.
Also, is it possible to customize NetView to provide email and pager
notifications of failed links or do I need a third party product for that.
Thanks in advance.
