You first have to configure the paging utility and then you can use it in a
ruleset.
Instructions on configuring the paging utility are given in the NetView
Administrator's Guide, which you should have on-line if you installed the
dynatext books.  Type in "dtext" and see.  See also the man page on nvpage,
which is a command-line invocation of the paging utility; that will show
you how you can test it from the command line.  The uitlity has a
background daemon, nvpagerd, which must be running.

If you cannot get it to work, then you can look in
usr/OV/log/nvpagerd.errlog and nvpagerd.alog for error messages.  You can
also trace the operation of the pager daemon by running him from the
command line.  First  ovstop nvpagerd to halt the background daemon, and
then issue /usr/OV/bin/nvpagerd -d  from a command line to run him in the
foreground.  This will hang this window until you issue Ctrl-C to kill it.
In another window, issue your nvpage command and the output will go to
nvpagerd.alog.

Hi all,
        any one have an experience about creating rule set to send message
to pager.
I would like to know how can you do it?  How can you connect the pager
provider? What is the trap packet that you use?
please advice me.
