Hi Jane,

I have just a hint for your third problem:

It seems to me that your Netview-Server may not be correctly defined on
the nameserver or you have some other problem with the nameserver.

You can specify how hostnames are resolved in the file /etc/netsvc.conf.
If it doesn't exist, create it with the following entry:

hosts=local,bind

This will force hostnames to be resolved first looking int the local
/etc/host. When the name is not found there, the nameserver will be
asked.
