We have NetView V4.1 running on AIX 4.2.1 here with no problems. Also
4.1.4, 4.1.5, 4.2.0, 4.3.0, and 4.3.1, with whatever appropriate
maintenance AIX recommends. I don't remember anything specific for 4.2.1

How about NetView 4.1.2 on AIX 4.2.1??? Still run happily? (I'm about to
upgrade the AIX OS from 4.1.4 to 4.2.1.)
I'm planning on applying U453385 after the upgrade. My current PTF level
is at U449573.
Anything more I may need to know before I go ahead?

NetView 4.1.2 runs quite happily on AIX 4.3.0 and 4.3.1, but I recommend
you apply U451880 or U453385 first. Those levels were tested. If you
insist on installing on 4.3.0, you will need lots of AIX maintenance as
that release is very buggy. In the very least you will need PTF U453944,
which contains the fix for IX74249; without that NetView won't even
install on 4.3.0. If you have a choice, get AIX 4.3.1.

Does anyone know if NetView 4.1 can run on AIX 4.3. I need to upgrade the
operating system to accommodate an add on application, but am not sure if
NetView 4.1 will run on AIX 4.3. Before I try it, any insights will be
helpful.
