I don't understand the question. SIA never sent traps. He populated a MIB
that the MLM queried and MLM sent the trap. And no MLM function has been
lost or changed in NetView.

I believe the old "System Monitor" agent was a multi-plexing agent.
It handled all of the multi-plexing of messages between different
ports.
Was this function lost when they split it up (SIA, MLM, DLM)?
