There is no such command, though you could write one.
You have the process backwards. You cannot delete the symbol files until
you have removed all instances from the map. My guess is that you will
have to delete and rediscover the changed objects, or clear the databases
and start over.

Subject: Uninstall of new application
Hello,
We have written an application and integrated with NetView for Win NT.
This application has new symbol types. The application changes symbols
type of some nodes to new symbol types.
To uninstall the application I remove the new symbols by deleting the
symbols files. But after uninstallation I am unable to open Netview
Window. I get the error message "Collmap.exe:connection to OVw lost
collmap exiting". And in Netview.log I see the following messages -
[Netview] Netview threw exception during initialisation, continuing
[ipmap] Fatal ipmap error:Map not open.
[ovwdb] Error:Could not connect to Server pipe:The pipe is being closed.
Do I have to run some command to update symbols of nodes which had been
changed by the application ?
Thanks
Nidhi
