You could try making the DNS running on your NetView server a "secondary" to
the DNS you are currently using. This way you get the better performance
because DNS is "local", but you do not have to worry about administering it
because you are automatically getting the DNS updates from the "primary"
DNS.

I found that putting DNS in the same server is running
NetView,
the times to start to receive netmon traps,after restart Netview,
decrease dramatically. But manage DNS changing files it´s a little
heavy
and easy to make mistakes, so does anybody know if there is any
interfase to admintrate DNS in AIX 4.2.1?
