Eric,

One alternative to building a table would be to create a NetView Collection
Group.
You can dynamically create a list of all the routers using the sysObjectID
of the router
vendor sysObjectID (dynamic). You can build a second collections group
with a list of routers
by name or ip address (static list). You can build a third collections
group by combining
the two groups, or including all in one group while excluding the second
group....

I like using collection groups because my customers have asked me to notify
them when
a select group of UNIX machines become unreachable. Sometimes months go
by and
then an outage occurs. A person outside of the level of service agreement
sometimes might
ask how come NetView did not do the appropriate notification. In this type
case I just show
them the nodes in the collection group. This helps them understand the
original service
agreement.

The other advantage is the ability of the collections group to be created
so nodes are dynamically
added to a group, or if required, the group remains static.

Regards,
Phil Moore
