Hi there everybody!

I have a question that might concern others as well:

There is a Tivoli TMR Server running (FW 3.2) - and some Managed Nodes
as well.
Some of the managed nodes are NetView Servers (5.x) - and some NetView
clients.

Now the big question:

Because of a dynamically growing network the locations of the clients
need to be changed - and as matter of fact, the names and IP addressess
too!
The easiest part in this case is to clear the TMR-servers database from
the moved managed nodes (here NetView Clients) - and reinstall the
FrameworkPatch with the option that only the database will be
overwritten. This makes the Managed Node reapear in the requested
PolicyRegion!
But, the rediscovered managed node is now in the PolicyRegion as Managed
Node and as NetView Client - and this client cannot be accessed vie
Tivoli Desktop - no configuration changes can be made and so on!

Does anybody have an idea how to fulfill this task?
On the Tivoli desktop the message is " No ressource of type
'NetViewRemoteAccess' "!!

I would be pleased to get any information!

Thousand thanks in advance!

cheerio

        Peter
