We have been having a terrible time getting the Token Ring Lan Network
Manager (LNM) to work for us. We have a very old (like 5 years) LNM
running (os2), but have been unable to get the new release to work. My
questions to this group are:

1) for those of you who run token rings, are you all using LNM? at what
release and what OS level?
2) are there any other products for managing and monitoring of token rings?
for example perhaps SNMP alerts from hubs? or perhaps some other product?

LNM has proven to be a solid performer over the years, but I need to make
plans if we cannot get this release to work (we and IBM have been trying
for longer than I want to admit - the problem appears to be in OS2).

Requirements: we mainly need the monitoring (beaconing, device left LAN),
and to a lesser extent the management (unlink bridge commands).

any ideas?
