The uname command is kinda tricky. Here is an example from a test host I have. command => uname -a response => AIX teclab1 2 4 00435011C400 Now, note that I said to set the uname host to agree with the hostname command by using the command "uname -S" (capital "S"). If I issue the command uname -s (little "s") on my test host teclab1, the response is AIX, just like you received. |
