I just installed NV6000 4.1.2 on AIX 4.3.2. I started the user interface as
root, and then attempted to run NETVIEW SMIT from the "ADMINISTER" pull-down
menu. Nothing happens except that the following errors appear in the
nv6000.log file:

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program /usr/lpp/X11/bin/msmit because of the
following errors: 0509-023 Symbol _XtOpenApplication in
/usr/lib/libvsm.a is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol _XtVaOpenApplication in /usr/lib/libvsm.a is not defined.
0509-023 Symbol XInternAtoms in /usr/lib/libvsm.a is not defined.
0509-022 Cannot load library libvsm.a[shr.o].
0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a valid format.

Can anyone help me determine the prob here?

P.S. I can run /usr/lpp/X11/bin/msmit from the command line, and it brings
up a SMIT window O.K.
