I am not very inventive, so I cannot see any way our events windows could
be set up to do this sort of thing.
We'll let you delete them from your workspace, but that's about it, and the
next guy in will still see them on his workspace. There is no interactive
interface here.
I think that your client doesn't know it, but he has just handed you a
major programming assignment in which you write your own windows app which
registers for traps or uses trapd.log as input.
It's not that I haven't heard of this kind of request before. I have. I
just don't see how to do it with the tools we have. If you think it should
be part of the product, then please describe what you want and why in a
note and send it to netview@tivoli.com for consideration in a future
release.

Subject: Acknowledging events
Our client has added a requirement to be able to acknowledge all events,
i.e mark them as read without deleting them. I do not think that the
NetView Events window can be adapted to do this but there is no harm in
asking for any suggestions.
