     Joe,

The .ICO format is only used by HP OV NNM on the NT platform as you
say. NNM on HP-UX or Solaris uses the same .m and .p files as NetView.

The .ICO format is standard NT icon format. Microsoft delivers an icon
editor with their developers suite I'm told (I have never used it).
There should be a number of free and shareware utilities on the
Internet that can handle the .ICO format.

     Best regards,

     Michael.

Is it possible to convert a HP OV symbol *.ICO file into a NetView *.m and
*.p bitmap file? I think the *.ICO format is only used in HP OV for
windows. Is this some proprietary format?
