Hi, Gord!
I've migrated twice and both times it went like a breeze...
My migration doc consists of a (already) rather battered piece of paper.
Here's my summary:
* Carefully read Release Notes TME10 NetView V5R1 for UNIX
* Carefully read Framwork Planning & Inst.Guide (especially 6.20...)
* Read everything again
* If possible, do so a third time...
* run chktrapd.con and correct trapd.conf before migrating!
* save all your /usr/OV/trapd.log* files before migrating!
(they're gone after migrating!)
* check your filesystem space before migrating!
here are my sizes after migrating...

Betreff: Migration Document....
Hello All.
I am planning a Netview migration from Netview V4 to Netview V5. There
ia quite a lot of
customization on my Netview V4. I have CiscoWorks installed also.
I was wondering if any one knows of any migration docs out there, sort
of a step by step
for going from V4 to V5.1 ??
I am wondering what I will lose, if anything??
Any info appreciated.
Gord Michaels
