An easy way to modify an object field without writing a C program is using wtdriver6. You can find it and download it from: http://www.rs6000.ibm.com/resource/aix_resource/Pubs/redbooks/htmlbooks/sg2 44515.00/4515fm.html It is all the "Netview V4 Examples" redbook, in Appendix A there are instructions to download the wtdriver6 code. The "readme" in the tar file gives you all the help you need to set fields, add objects etc. from command line. It works also with TME 10 Netview V5.1. Hope this helps.
