Yes

Yes, or you run the risk of bad data in the databases, which would ruin
your migration.

Subject: Migration from V4.1 to V5.1 on NEW H/W...

Hello All.

I was wondering if anyone has any info/experience on how to migrate from
Netview V4.1 to Netview V5.1 on new h/w ??

I would like to keep my 'old' server running with V4.1 while migrating
all it's customization to the 'new' server under V5.1.

What is the best method to do this. Can I run the migration script on
the 'old' V4.1 server without hurting it? Do I have to shutdown Netview
in order to run the script?

Any help/info appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gord Michaels.
