We currently have 2 problems with the ATM Campus Manager of Nways
(V1.2.2).
1) There seems to be fairly constant topology change going on on the ATM
View - the devices in question are 8260s and 8271 switches - also some
of the 8260s are showing red whereas in the IP map they are green or
yellow?????
2) Our 8260s have their DMM EMAC address on Elan1 and the CPSW lec is on
the management elan. If we use DNS to resolve both addresses to a
single name, then the hub never appears on the Nways ATM map - the
device is discovered via the Elan 1 address and shows on the IP map, an
SNMP demand poll is done but the SNMP interface table and IP table don't
show the IP address on the management elan - it has 2 "loopback"
addresses? - 127.0.0.1 (as expected) and 127.0.0.3??? It looks like the
latter is somehow replacing the real IP address on the management elan -
it never seems to get to talk to the ATM management side of the 8260
(although it shows fine as a hub and can be exploded to show blades,
etc). Does anyone have a good policy to circumvent this? Are there any
later versions of 8260 code that address this sort of issue?

Any help gratefully received,
Jane
