You cannot fix the problem until you diagnosis it.
I suggest you go to the /usr/OV/log/nvaction.alog and .blog and look there
to see any error messages that your commands are generating.

Subject: ovxbeep can't run by ruleset
Dear all,
Now,I have NetView 5.0 run on AIX 4.2. that I use it to manage my network
and device. I write the ruleset to let me know when the router down by
"beep" sound, which there are two action for that event follow :
(1)"echo "$NVATTR_2 $NVATTR_3 at $NVT" >> /tmp/$NVATTR_2"
(2)"/usr/OV/bin/ovxbeep "$NVATTR_2 $NATTR_3 at $NVT" -display Netview:0"
That it's work normally until last 2-3 days. It's work only (1) event but
there is no "beep" sound.
Any one can help me there is other way to run the (2) event.
Thank you,
rut ^_^
