Subject: snmpCol.conf file

Platform :- AIX 4.1.5, NV 4.1.2, Transcend 4.2.2

I am about to make some major additions to snmpCollect to collect data from
new nodes/interfaces etc. I find the GUI, accessed by 'Data Collection &
Thresholds:SNMP..' under the Tools window a bit unwealdy as we have to
close the window down after each addition/modification and reload it.

I would therefore like to edit the '/usr/OV/conf/snmpCol.conf' file instead
(after taking a backup of it first). Can anyone confirm that this is a
feasible way of updating snmpCollect parameters or am I potentially
'digging' a hole for myself?

Any comments will be gratefully received.
