Re: event severity override speed
It cannot be re-created because the speed depends upon the load on the box
at the time.
But overrides will be slower with that PTF, there is no way around that.
The fix to IX80329 resulted in slower processing.
However, since that time we have taken IX89796 to re-do the fix for
IX80329, and when that is available, the performance of overrides should
improve. Based on conversations I have had, I believe there will be a new
update in your PMR shortly.

Subject: event severity override speed
We are using NetView AIX V4.1.2.
Recentely we applied the latest PTF U459387, and got experienced
event severity override by ruleset becomes slow.
On event display (line mode), it takes one or more seconds to change
Rejecting that PTF resolved this problem.
We called our support but he said the situation cannot be re-created
on their test site, and he doubts it is because of the poor H/W spec.
Is this our unique problem or has anyone experienced?
