Hello Najm,

winstall is not an option when installing Tivoli NetView 5.1. You must install
you NetView Server
by creating the managed resource in your policy region of choice (NetViewServer
is the managed resource
name). Once you start this, the normal installation windows will appear and you
can proceed.

If you try and use winstall, your NetView Server will not function properly. I
know of no current CLI command
that addresses this need.

Hope this helps.

Hi folks,
It looks like when installing NV5.1 (using Tivoli desktop) , netview is
installed mainly in /usr/OV
I would expect NV5.1 to be installable using CLI( with winstall
[syntax].....[Variables-list] ).
My question is, can somebody point out what variables should I use so I
know exactly where NV is installed?

Thanks
Najm Addous
