Nobody doubts your word here but I think they want an explanation of exactly
what you did, so they can offer more specific advice.

So how did you delete from all maps? First you ovstop netmon so he won't
rediscover the thing, right?
Then you modify the seedfile so that the thing you want to delete won't get
rediscovered, right? What entry did you use?

Then you did an ovobjprint for the object and saw how many maps it was in (Maps
Exist)? Then you opened each map in turn, located the object, selected it,
pulled down Edit and clicked "Delete ... from all submaps"? Right?

Then you did ovobjprint for that selection name and it was still there? If so,
then maybe you should post that ovobjprint output here so we can all see it.
Things won't get deleted if they have fields set by other applications.

Don't forget to restart netmon ... after you've changed the seed file.

Christian,

have you one or more maps? If you delete an object from a map but you
have other maps (for b/u reasons or for different users i.e.) then the
object won't be deleted from databases. In such case you should open all
maps and delete the object in each map.
If that's not the case maybe you should run ovtopofix (see man pages)
to make the database objects appear in the map and then delete from it.

I hope that helps.
Regards,
Juan.
