Yup. Just make sure you backup the correct file -- the one in the "C"
subdirectory of /usr/OV/cong
cp /usr/OV/conf/C trapd.conf /usr/OV/conf/C/trapd.conf.backup
If you need to revert to the backup,
(1) ovstop trapd
(2) cp /usr/OV/conf/C trapd.conf.backup /usr/OV/conf/C/trapd.conf
(3) ovstart

Wow! Thanks for the info!!
I looked in my snmp_mibs directory and rfc1747 is not there. Of course this
makes sense in my situation.
I am in the process of searching the Net to find this MIB. Once I find it
and load it into Netview, then I can use the mib2trap command.
But, this command will only alter my trapd.conf file, correct? So, as long
as I make a copy of this file, if something goes wrong, I only need to
revert back to the saved copy of tradp.conf? I just want to make sure I
don't screw anything up.
Sincerely,
Gord Michaels.
