We use AIX 4.2.1 as our standard.
I didnt get the chance to try any diagnostics myself when it happened.
>From what you are saying it sounds like more of an AIX problem than
a netview one.

Interestingly I believe that for us the problem also occurred after
an interface had gone down and come back.
