Subject: odd numbers at end of selection name for interface

I'm running AIX4.3.2, NetView 5.1

I have selection names for interfaces which show up, such as:

router.name.edu:Ethernet5/0/717036

Now, this test router only has 3 interfaces and no secondary addressing.
What's with the 17036 added at the end of the Ethernet5/0/7 part?

I've done ovtopofix and ovmapcount commands to try to clear
this up.

The problem with this is that I add these objects to my collection
set and then when Netview receives the trap that:

router.name.edu:Ethernet5/0/7

is down, it checks the collection and there's no
"router.name.edu:Ethernet5/0/7" in there! Of course not, because
for some goofy reason, it's listed as:
"router.name.edu:Ethernet5/0/717036"

What's going on here?

Thank you --Greg Redder
