Subject: | Ruleset Editor - Compare MIB Variable |

For certain interface down traps I would like to query the node to get more information on the interface. Can I use the "Compare MIB Variable" template to do this or do I have to use an external script with the "Action" template? The problem I am running into is in using an argument from the trap to populate the instance part of the MIB variable specification. Is there any way to accomplish this, perhaps using the environment variables somehow? Calvin Wilson - Senior Network Analyst Phone: 250-472-4825 UVic Network Services Fax: 250-721-8778 |
