NetView Client 5.1.1 Patch

Can someone tell me if the Netview daemons need to be stopped on the
NetView server  if installing the 5.1.1 patch on just a client. In the
release notes it says to ensure that all NetView Daemons have been
stopped on all NetView servers and clients. Does it read like this
because it assumes that the patch is going to be installed on both the
server and client or do you need to stop the daemons on both regardless.
