To thoroughly delete the node for rediscovery:
 - ovstop netmon
- delete the node (from all submaps)
- if you have other maps besides the 'default' map, open them and delete it
    from those maps as well.
- ovtopofix -a
(if you have more than one map with different contents, use ovtopofix -A)
- ovstart
- after netmon has gotten caught up with its initialization (ie it responds to
a
request for a demandpoll of a node), then ping the node you want to discover
or if it is in the seedfile, netmon will find it on its own.

Hi all,

is there a way to delete an object from the NetView "internal Database" (
not Oracle) . We would not use the clean Database-Function from the smit
panel.

The Problem we have is that we had added on object with the wrong name and
then we delete it.
In the /etc/hosts and in the seed-file is the new name and IP-Adress.
But still in the NetView "internal Database" is the deleted object with the
wrong name. So we can not added the same object with an different name.

Thanks in advance
M. Klenk
