This has never been tested by Tivoli and is not supported.  You should plan on
throwing V2 away and installing 5.1 cold as if you had never seen the product
before, and customizing it later.  That is the only safe approach.  V2 was out
of support a year before the Tivoli corporation became part of IBM and began
work on V5.  Outside of the commands (which have new options) and the same
general concepts (like what oid-to-type or the seed file is for) you would not
want to use any of your V2 files, as there will be new options in all of them.
Even trapd.conf is radically different.

Hello All.

Has anyone out there ever migrated from Netview V2.x to Netview V5.1 ??

If so, how did it go and what was your procedure? There is no migration
script for Netview V2.x.

Any info appreciated.
