Gord,
   What you are collecting from are counters.  I believe SnmpCollect takes
the last five minute average.  What you are collecting is the rate of data
flow through the devices.  The actual amount of data is a different manner.
To indicate network capacity rate of data is fine.  To see volume of data
increasing over time the actual amount might be needed.  It is whatever you
want to do.  In order to collect the volume I had to develop a system using
scripts, COBOL and SAS.
