Stefano,

I'm running AIX 4.3.2, NV 5.1.1, and CW2000 Maint Rel 2 and had the same
problem.
Actually, the same problem occurred in Maint Rel 1 for the 1400s and the
8540-csr. These were identified as bugs (CSCdp04945 and CSCdp04971), but
the fixes did not make it into Maint Rel 2.

If you look in /usr/OV/bitmaps/C, you'll see there is a file with the
product name and ".m" and ".p" suffix, but the base file package is missing.
There are references to the missing packages in /usr/OV/conf/C/oid_to_sym
and /usr/OV/symbols/C/CVTYPE leading to the bitmap error message. Since we
don't have those equipment types, I commented out the reference lines in
oid_to_sym and deleted the paragraphs from CVTYPE (after making a backup
copy of the files) and reran via ovw -config. After that NV started
cleanly. If you need these equipment types, contact Cisco for a fix.

Karin
