We used to run C-shell environment all the time (as the default)
with NetView AIX. It works fine... at least it did in V4.1 & V5.1

We've moved to NetView NT though, so I can't give you any
recent help.

All NetView scripts that I am aware of start with #!bin/ksh to guarantee
that
they run in a Korn Shell. There is nothing you can do about that. So Korn
shell must be available on the box. As for Tivoli, you installed a C-shell
equivalent of setup_env.sh called setup_env.csh in the /etc/Tivoli
directory
when you installed the Framework. You will need to use that. But there is
no
other difference I am aware of. So as far as I know, you may run a C shell
for
yourself if you like. I personally don't recommended it because we do not
routinely test it that way, but you are welcome to try.

Hi forum readers, I would like to find what is required to run TME 10
NetView
5.1 in c shell
environment.
Currenlty it seems like there is no wierd thing, but I am afraid the
environment
may not be set
correclty which caused some function to fail. Is there any file that can be
run
to set the
environment in c shell.

Like framework it has /etc/Tivoli/setup_env.csh to set the enviroment in c
shell.

I would like to find out if there is any to NetView if Framework
envrironment it
self is not set to
c shell environment.

Thanks.
Ai (please cc you answer to roziai@hotmail.com so that I can access from
anywhere)
