It doesn't appear to be documented anywhere but the following built-in
functions are available for slot mapping values in trapd.conf:
$ENTERPRISE gives the name of the enterprise id in trapd.conf (not
the dotted decimal .1.3.6.1.4.1.etc)
$SPECIFIC gives the specific trap number
$TYPE gives the generic trap number
$COMMUNITY gives the incoming trap's community string
$SOURCE_TIME gives the incoming trap's timestamp formatted into date and
time (e.g. "11/24/99 09:14:50")
$AGENT_ADDR gives the incoming trap's agent address in IP address dotted
decimal notation
If you want anything else, it has to be in a trap variable(so you can set it
with $Vn), or you have to hard-code it in the slot map.

Subject: NetView - Tec slot mapping question
Hi all,
does anybody know how to map standard slots to new slots ???
I already did this for the variable slots (nv_var1 - nv_var15). There
this looks like:
BEGIN_SLOT_MAPPING
origin $V2
nv_var16 $V7
END_SLOT_MAPPING
==> This fills the origin slot with the value of nv_var2 , and the
nv_var16 with the value
of nv_var7
But I'm searching to use the nv_enterprise or nv_specific (or origin) as
source for a new slot like:
BEGIN_SLOT_MAPPING
nv_var17 ?????
END_SLOT_MAPPING
I don't know on how to address these slots ??
Can anybody help ????
