Map on a deleted client

I had installed a client and forgot to delete the client map before
deinstalling the client. Now I have a map that the server thinks still
exists and I cannot delete by using File->delete map. This is a problem
because whenever I try to add a submap or object that I deleted previously,
Netview thinks that it is a duplicate submap or object.

Could someone please let me know the resolution to this.
