If you have a cache file in /etc/Tivoli/TEC, then this means that your
tecad_nv6k daemon cannot contact the TEC server you specified in your
configuration file. The cache is where the daemon puts all events to be
forwarded when he cannot reach his destination. As soon as he gets a response
from his the TEC server, he sends all the events he as been storing up in the
cache. Is you cache file growing? Then this would mean that the daemon has
events to send to TEC but he cannot get there, or the ServerPort is wrong, or
some such connectivity problem.
Is your TEC server also on NT? Then make certain that you have the correct
ServerPort defined for it in the config file. NT does not have a portmapper
daemon to redirect TEC events to the port that TEC is listening on. You must
send them to the right one directly.
Are you use the Framework-based secure adapter or the "non-secure" TCP-based
one? For the secure one to work, you need Framework on the NetView NT box and
it must be connected to the TEC TMR. Just something to check.
