You are going to have to investigate how this works. Getting a pop-up is user
customization, so somebody before you set this up, and if they didn't leave any
doc on what they did, then you will have to play detective. I'd start by trying
to determine what trap is configured to provide the pop-up and how it is done.
Go to /usr/OV/conf/C and browse trapd.conf. Look for an EXEC statement (those
are automatic actions) or a DISPLAY statement (those are pop-up notifications)
that seems to have the correct text for you and determine what trap is the one
which triggers this behavior. Does it also have a NODES statement listing what
hosts (routers) it applies to? Then that is the one you have to modify. Use
xnmtrap and add the additional sources.
Good luck.

Subject: Re: TELNET ALERT
To all that have replied about TELNET ALERT thanks so very much. I have another
question in regards to the same thing. While testing different routers on our
network I have stumbled upon something and don't know what's happening. When I
telnet into some routers then exit I get an immediate notification with an Event
Configuration Additional Pop-Up window, on other routers I do not. Is there
something that needs to be fine tuned so that I have a uniform reaction on all
routers?
